Sri Lanka Economics Research Conference (SLERC) 2016
The Sri Lanka Forum of University Economists (SLFUE) is a network of all Departments and Units of
Economics within the Sri Lankan state university system which was initiated in 2012 with the objective
of promoting closer co-operation, dialogue, collaborative research and mutual enhancement among the
academics in the field of Economics. The Sri Lanka Economics Research Conference (SLERC) is the major
annual event organized by the SLFUE. For the year 2016, the Department of Economics of the University
of Kelaniya organizes the SLERC 2016 with the intention to provide a platform for the ideas on ‘ A
Paradigm Shift of Thoughts and Policies: The Need of the Hour for Developing Economies’. The fifth
consecutive year the SLERC is scheduled to be held on 22nd and 23rd December 2016.
The important dates of SLERC 2016 are as follows.

Extended Abstract Submission : 31st August 2016

Notification to Authors: 30th September 2016

Revision and Re-submission: 15th October 2016

Final Notification to Authors: 16th October 2016

Registration for Participation: 15th October – 30th November 2016

Dates of Conference: 22nd and 23rd December 2016
