• Start a file box
• Register for the ACT or
SAT exam
October
• Class rank/GPA forms due
• Ask for 3 letters of
recommendation
• Use a resume
• College Night – SWHS Oct.9

• 12th graders are allowed 2 college visit
days
• Begin the college admissions application;
use NAVIANCE for the ApplyTexas or
Common Applications
• See the scholarship bulletin on NAVIANCE
• If you’re student athlete and want to play
sports in college, start the NCAA
eligibility process

• Have social security # or green card

• Review grades and other
information required for the college

• Follow up on the recommendation
