• Start a file box
• Register for the ACT or
SAT exam

• Class rank/GPA forms due
• Ask for 3 letters of
recommendation

• Begin the college admissions application;
use NAVIANCE for the ApplyTexas or
Common Applications
• See the scholarship bulletin on NAVIANCE
• If you’re student athlete and want to play
sports in college, start the NCAA
eligibility process

• Have social security # or green card

• Review grades and other
information required for the college

• Follow up on the recommendation

• Set aside a day to

• Find out which financial aid
application will be required: FAFSA,

• Apply for a PIN for the FAFSA
