35rd Annual Firecracker Classic

ALL SWIMMERS 12 & OVER ARE REQUIRED TO RIDE THE TEAM BUS, STAY IN A HOTEL ROOM
WITH OTHER TEAM MEMBERS, EAT ALL MEALS WITH THE TEAM AND PARTICIPATE IN ANY
TEAM ACTIVITY. THE TEAM BUS WILL TRANSPORT THE KIDS TO AND FROM THE HOTEL
THROUGHOUT THE DAY.
Hotel:






Parents ask for “West Valley Seawolves” rate ($66/nt) to book your own room
Do not book a room for your child if they’re staying with the team.
Girls and Boys stay in separate rooms; usually 4 to a room.
Coaches conduct room checks at lights out in accordance with USA Swimming travel
policies.
Cost:
12 & Overs - $225 each: includes round trip bus, hotel and most meals (meet fees, breakfast
on way up and dinner on way back are additional)
11 & Unders: For kids requiring a chaperone due to age or medical issues (unless approved
by coach to be with the 12 & overs):
 $125.00: includes bus (with an adult chaperone) and most meals, but no team hotel
room (plus $100.00 for chaperone on bus)
 $50.00: not riding bus or staying in hotel (includes meals, coach fees). This is the
minimum per swimmer charge.
Parents/Chaperones: $100 round trip bus ride only, as space permits (you must book and pay
for your own hotel room; swimmers stay with team not with parents)
Food:
 Each swimmer will need to bring extra money for breakfast on the way to Missoula
(usually McDonalds) and dinner on the way home. We estimate bringing an extra $1520 (more if you wish to purchase a meet shirt, etc.)
 Breakfast is provided at the hotel each morning.
 All other lunches and dinners will be provided by WVA / PSC Boosters.
 We will be having a food planning/prep meeting at a closer date.
Travel:
 Depart WVFFC Thursday, June 23 at 3:30am sharp! Arrive at 3:15 am to get settled on
the bus.
 Arrive WVFFC Sunday, June 26 approx. 11:30pm.
 We rent a full size bus and make at least one stop along the way. There is a restroom
on board.
Additional Info:
 ALL swimmers are expected to stay with the team, ride the bus, eat all meals with the
team and attend any team function.
 Swimmers aged 11 and under need a parent or chaperone on the trip (or discuss with
Coach ).
 There is a Party in the water park on Saturday! Everyone is invited to attend.
 Snacks and water will be provided daily at the pool by the WVA / PSC Boosters.
 The team has been going to this meet for over 12 years. It is a fantastic team event.
Tons of fun! An event to remember!!
 Swimmers should bring a blanket, pillow, chair, sunscreen and things to stay
entertained (books, headphones, games, etc).
 The pool is a state-of-the-art long course pool and is located in a beautiful fenced in
facility with grass, water park and concessions.
 The meet is run as prelims and finals for 11 & overs and timed finals for 10 & unders.
 On site vendors sell swim apparel, t-shirts and supplies.
 Our coaches will attend and chaperone the team.
