Exciting New Games for Fall
Steelers and Eagles Second-Chance Drawings
The new Steelers and Eagles instant games will hit the field in
August. Each $5 game will offer 10 top prizes of $50,000 and
limited time second-chance drawings through the VIP Players Club.
Non-winning tickets can be entered for a chance to win away game
experiences, regular season home game tickets, a VIP tailgate with
game tickets, and so much more! These games always score a
touchdown with fans of Pennsylvania’s two great teams!
Second-Chance Opportunity for GhostbustersTM
For instant fun and big prizes, “who you gonna call?”
Ghostbusters™ is a $2 Pennsylvania Lottery instant game
arriving in September as one of two Halloween-themed
games. Ghostbusters will offer 10 top prizes of $30,000 and a
second-chance opportunity for non-winning tickets through the
VIP Players Club. This fun game will appeal to players who enjoy
hunting for prizes instead of ghosts – and nobody gets slimed!
50X the Money and More!
There’s a new family moving in this September and it is sure to
multiply the fun for players. 50X the Money is a $10 game where
players can win 50 times their prize when the “50X” symbol is
revealed. 20X the Money is a $5 game where players can win
up to 20 times their prize when the “20X” symbol is revealed.
10X the Money is a $2 game where players can win up to 10
times their prize when the “10X” symbol is revealed. And lastly,
5X the Money is a $1 game where players can win up to five
times their prize when the “5X” symbol is revealed. Each game
also offers prizes that are not multiplied, including the top prize.

From the Executive Director
We have a fantastic fall selling season planned, so please take the time to review all the exciting product
news contained in this edition. From changes designed to make Powerball® jackpots grow faster, to
more frequent Millionaire Raffle offerings, to our Eagles, Steelers and Ghostbusters™ instant
games, your customers will be enthused by many new opportunities to play and win.
Importantly, I also want to thank our retailers for contributing to the Pennsylvania Lottery’s continued
success in our last fiscal year, when we posted another new sales record of nearly $3.82 billion. This
achievement would not have been possible without the dedication and determination of each retailer,
both independent operators and corporate partners. On behalf of the older Pennsylvanians who benefit
from Pennsylvania Lottery sales – every day – thank you!
Best in selling,
Drew Svitko
Powerball to Get Extra
‘Bounce’ in October
The Powerball® game will change this fall to
increase the average jackpot, produce faster-growing jackpots, and improve the overall chances of
winning any prize.
Starting October 4, Powerball will allow players to select five of 69 numbers and one of 26 numbers
(the Powerball). Additionally, a 10X multiplier has been added to the $1 Power Play option, and it will
be available on jackpots up to $150 million!
The number of advance-plays available for purchase will continue to decrease as the effective date of
the game changes approaches. The first drawing under the new game structure will take place October
7. New playslips will be provided to retailers before the changes take effect.
More Millionaire Raffle, More Often
millionaire raffle has gone quarterly! After being offered
twice per-year for the past 10 years, millionaire raffle has
evolved into a seasonal game. The first fall drawing of
millionaire raffle will be October 31. Everything about
the game remains the same – it’s still a $20 ticket that
offers 6,000 cash prizes totaling more than $5 million,
including four $1 million top prizes.

Use Reports to Track Outstanding Packs
retailers are strongly encouraged to print the Outstanding Pack
and the Outstanding Partial Pack reports from the WAVE to
determine if any instant game packs are still owed to the lottery.
you may access similar information on the retailer Portal by
running Inventory reconciliation or Adjustment reports.
Packs in a “return requested” status must be immediately
returned to your Lottery representative. If the pack cannot
be located, the representative can help an authorized store
employee complete the required proof-of-loss documentation. If the proof of loss is approved, the tickets will be
removed from inventory.
remember, retailers must account for each and every
game ticket you receive. If the required steps are not
taken, retailers will be charged for missing packs.
run these reports regularly to better manage your
instant game inventory. For additional assistance, speak
to your representative or contact Instant Accounting at
1-800-692-7481.

Tech Talk Tip
Placement Makes a Difference!
Making sure your Lottery equipment is
correctly positioned can have a significant
positive impact on sales.
Ticket Checker
Giving players the ability to check their own
tickets helps free staff so they can concentrate
on selling! We recommend that ticket checkers
are placed away from the main Lottery sales area
so as not to impede sales, but still close enough
for players to find them easily.
While the ticket checker does require a power
source, they are wirelessly connected to the
Lottery sales terminal and may be placed anywhere within 100 feet of the terminal.
LIMS Monitor
An important part of Lottery’s marketing strategy,
the 17-inch monitor displays current jackpots,
Lottery advertisements, promotional information,
and Amber Alerts. The messaging displayed on
the monitor is carefully developed to ensure it is
timely and effective in motivating players.
The perfect placement for the LImS monitor is in
a highly visible area that makes the most of store
traffic and can attract new players. To maximize
this tool, ensure that nothing obstructs the view
of the monitor.
Vending Machines
Optimal placement for vending machines is close
to the main entrance/exit of the store, where
they can be easily seen by every customer and
monitored by store staff. The PA Lottery offers
hanging signage that can help direct players to
the vending machines in larger stores.
As players must be 18 years or older to purchase Pennsylvania Lottery products, vending
machines must be in full view of store personnel at all times to prevent underage play.
Retailer Bonuses
Pennsylvania Lottery retailers earn bonuses ranging from $500 to $100,000 for selling large winning
tickets. In the final quarter of the 2014-15 fiscal year (April through June), retailer bonuses totaled
$241,000. For the entire fiscal year, retailer bonuses totaled $914,500. Congratulations!

Please Play Responsibly
The Pennsylvania Lottery works to sell its games in a
socially responsible way, and our retailers play a very
important role in that process. We ask all retailers to:
• Sell only to players who are 18 or older. Ask for ID
when necessary.
• Carefully monitor all points of sale, including
PlayCentral Terminals and vending units.
• Display our problem gambling brochures, resource
cards and posters.
• Promote the problem gambling hotline:
1-800-848-1880. Free, confidential help is available.
Please speak to your lottery representative if
additional resources are needed.
