The U.S. Constitution is celebrating its milestone
225th anniversary, and there’s no better place to
honor this historic event than the National Constitution
Center! Join us at the Center for festive programs and
events or in your classroom for engaging, interactive

Election Day
November 6, 2012
Voting is one of our most important rights and
responsibilities as Americans. Visit the Center on
Election Day to learn about America’s democracy and
see it in action during the presidential election.

Honor the men and women who have served our

by President George Washington, and later by

After the Constitution was ratified, the Bill of Rights
was added to ensure many of the liberties we enjoy
today. Join us to celebrate freedom of speech, religion,
and other important rights provided to us by the first
10 amendments.
Inauguration Day

Join us as we explore the history of presidential
inaugurations and watch the elected president take
the oath written in Article II: to preserve, protect
and defend the Constitution.

Signers’ Hall Tour
The 42 bronze statues in Signers’ Hall come to life
during this popular tour, which will transport your
group to September 17, 1787, when the Constitution
was signed. With a special introduction by President
George H.W. Bush, the tour offers an exciting way
to explore America’s past and the issues that still
challenge us today.
We the People Tour
Experience the Center’s exhibition The Story of We the
People through the eyes of distinguished historians
and curators. Learn more about our artifacts and
hear fascinating stories about the struggles and
triumphs of Americans throughout our history.

Using iPods as a secret agent’s gadget, students
scour the Center’s text panels, artifacts, and

Growing Up, American Style
Explore a specific constitutional topic during your
visit! The Center offers a variety of themed museum
packages for different grade levels, aligned with
national and state standards. Our staff will engage
and entertain your group using exhibits, artifacts, and
educational resources.
Packages last 2 to 3 hours and include:
An interactive, high-energy activity about a
constitutional topic
A hands-on workshop or guided tour of our
exhibitions
Our main exhibition: Freedom Rising, Signers’ Hall,

Destination White House: Presidential Elections
During this action-packed program, your group will
explore the ins and outs of a presidential campaign,
from building a platform and naming a candidate to
creating unforgettable campaign ads. Finally, they elect
a classmate to be our next commander in chief.

The Wicked Witch and the Stolen Property Lawsuit
Grades 9-12:
Three Little Pigs and the Case of Double Homicide
In this popular program about our judicial system,
courts, and the rule of law, students act as both judge
and jury in mock trials based on well-known fairy
tales. Students make opening and closing arguments,
question witnesses, and provide a verdict.
Separation of Powers
This engaging show teaches your students how
our Constitution separated power among three
branches of government—a revolutionary idea!

The Fox 29 Weather Authority and the National
Constitution Center team up to talk about the History
of Weather. Explore the role of weather in major events
in American history, such as the Revolutionary War,

meeting requirements or working toward badges
and patches! Scout Days feature activity tables,
workshops, and shows just for Scout Troops. Explore
the entire museum to earn a commemorative National
Constitution Center Fun Day Patch. Scout leaders and
parents receive a Scout packet and agenda to lead
them through the day’s activities and events.

On My Honor: 100 Years of Girl Scouting—an
exhibition created by the National Constitution
Center in partnership with the Girl Scouts of Eastern
Pennsylvania—highlights the history, contributions,
and traditions of Girl Scouting. View badges and
uniforms from the past century, nature study journals
from the early 1900s, and an original copy of the first
Girl Scout Handbook. Brownies, Juniors, Cadettes,
and Senior Girl Scouts who visit can work towards
requirements for the Girl Scout Way Legacy Badge.

Cancellation Policy
Advance reservations are required for all
group visits.
We recommend allowing around 90 minutes to
enjoy the Center’s main exhibition.
To ensure your preferred choices of dates and
times, please book well in advance.
Payment Policy and Procedure
A 25% non-refundable deposit is due 10 days after
reservations are made.
Purchase Orders (P.O.) are an acceptable method
of payment. The P.O. must be received 10 days
prior to the group visit. They will not be accepted
on the day of visit.
Final count and balance are due 7 days prior to
the visit. Group count cannot be decreased on
the day of visit.
Groups booking within 7 days of a visit will
be required to sign the Group Sales Contract
and provide full payment via credit card upon
making reservation.
Failure to make payment may result in the
cancellation of your group’s reservation.
Chaperone Policy
One chaperone is required for every 10
students. School and youth groups receive one
complimentary chaperone ticket for every 10
student/youth tickets purchased.
Chaperones must be at least 21 years of age.
All chaperones must be briefed on the policy and
procedures of the National Constitution Center
prior to the visit.

Please notify the Group Sales department 72
hours in advance if your group must cancel.
All payments are non-refundable but will be
applied to a future visit.
Lunchroom and Delegates’ Cafe
Advance reservations are required ($15 nonrefundable fee per group) for student/youth
groups choosing to bring bagged lunches and
reserve space in our Lunchroom for a half hour.
Delegates’ Cafe serves lunch and light snacks.
Reservations are not required for the Cafe, but
seating is very limited and available on a firstcome, first-served basis.
Please notify Group Sales if you plan to eat in our
Delegates’ Cafe.
Boxed lunch options are available and must be
ordered at least 10 days in advance of your visit.
