(New York, NY, March 2017) The Architectural Digest Design Show, March 16–19,
in New York City, will showcase exceptional designs and products for every type of
space. Designers, architects, and the public will have the opportunity to shop
innovative finds from more than 400 brands. From new appliances and hardware to
accessories and a variety of custom furnishings, luxury comes in a range of sizes
and styles to fit any space.
As a special feature of the show, the Architectural Digest Apartment, envisioned by
celebrated interior designer Shawn Henderson, will offer a sophisticated perspective on
bold, urban luxury. The space will feature LG Signature appliances and technology; Carl
Hansen & Son furnishings; Sherwin-Williams paint; stylish lighting from Troy Lighting and
Hudson Valley Lighting®; IKEA kitchen fronts; a Rohl modern sink and faucet; Silestone
countertops; and flooring from Indusparquet.
Here is a selection of high-end solutions for small, smart, and sophisticated living
that can be shopped and sourced at the 2017 show:
SMART LIVING:
Several brands offer products specifically designed
for compact spaces. The New Traditionalists offers
a wide range of furniture, finishes, and custom
tailored solutions for smaller spaces. Costantini
Design will display the Dorena Nesting Tables along
with other furniture perfect for city living.
Sub-Zero and Wolf will showcase how its appliances
work in three types of kitchens, including a smaller
New York kitchen. The 1,000-square-foot booth will
feature thought-provoking applications for each
appliance, including the brand-new Sub-Zero 24”
integrated column refrigerator/freezer with ice maker,
the Wolf 24” transitional framed induction cooktop,
and the Wolf 48” sealed burner range rangetop,
which includes a wok burner.
Milano Smart Living offers a prestigious and diverse
array of specialized furniture for small apartments,
impressive and beautiful in each of their functions. It
specializes
in
wall
beds,
sofa beds,
and
multifunctional tables, such as expanding consoles, dining tables, and coffee tables.
The “EKAL SOFT” is an electric sofa bed, which is available as either a sofa-bed
sectional or sofa bed. With memory foam seating and a wireless remote , it is the
brand’s softest seating yet and opens easily with the push of a button. The WB
METROPOLIS TV is a rotating wall bed, which houses a library and television on
one side and a queen size mattress on the other.
The Ernest Cabin, which will be positioned at the
entrance of the show, will serve as a tangible
example of a micro-living space. It will feature
products from brands, including Atmosphere & Bois,
Delta Light, Royal Botania, Renson, Claylime,
Limited Edition and Sony Life Space UX.
Rocky Mountain Hardware will be introducing the
Edge Collection, a thinner, more minimal profile
design that is unique to the marketplace and adds
more of a contemporary edge to the brand's
portfolio.
Spiral stairs are a smart solution to tight spaces.
Marretti Stairs offers contemporary options, while
Arcways makes more traditional ones. Compass
Ironworks and Art & Anvil Liberty provide custom
metal fabrications.
Sony Life Space UX will introduce its new 4K
projector to the design world at the 2017 show.
Used as a conventional projector, it allows users
to see movies on the big screen in the comfort of
their own home. Its wide range of uses also
opens up new windows for content discovery–
from scrolling through books and magazines to
playing music to displaying projected artwork on
the wall. Sony Life Space UX will also showcase
the Portable Ultra Short Throw Projector, the
Glass Sound Speaker, and the LED Bulb
Speaker.
Experts in framing, art conservation, and
restoration for more than 30 years, Reflectel has
taken its experience to a new level. The NY-based
company is now able to offer beautifully framed
artwork with the most advanced technology in
mirrors and high-definition televisions available
today. The result: spectacularly framed, hidden
televisions.
Baldwin Evolved is the next generation of smart
handlesets and deadbolts, blending exquisite
designs with the company’s Kevo technology. With
easy Bluetooth touch-to-open solutions in several
customizable styles, users can open and close their
doors through their smartphones. Evolved also
features LED lights to communicate elegantly with
users and is water resistant to ensure moisture
won’t affect the technology.
Smart Living solutions work in any sized space–
small or large. AHT Global specializes in state-ofthe-art audio, video, security, and home
automation.
Tickets to the show are now available online at ADDesignSho w.com. It is free to
design trade who pre-register online. The on-site ticket fee for trade is $40. General
(consumer) admission is $30 online and $40 at the door. Ticket price includes full
access to the exhibition hall, DIFFA’S DINING BY DESIGN table viewing (colocated at Pier 92), programs and panels in the Jenn-Air Master Class Studio, and
many more daily special events. A portion of the proceeds of all ticket sales
benefits DIFFA Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS.
