Virtual Vacation
Students will use the Internet and other resources to research information needed to plan a 14day vacation. Students may select a destination from one of the ancient civilization studied this
year. This project enables students to use their research skills to solve a problem. It also
provides an opportunity to apply what they have learned about ancient civilizations in the
previous weeks.
Students will be required to complete the following tasks:
1. Research – Use the Internet and other appropriate sources to gather the information
necessary to complete the project.
2. Title Page – include your vacation location, your name, and the date
3. Itinerary – You will create an itinerary in a MS Word table which gives details about
each day’s activities as well as method and time needed to travel.
4. Informational Flyer – You will use Publisher to create an eye-catching, well
designed advertisement to encourage clients to book your trip.
5. Presentation – You will use Power Point to create a presentation about your
vacation. Be sure to include the type of currency needed, food, climate,
landmarks/destinations, and any other facts that are relevant to your destination.
