Johnsonite Revitalizes Triumph and Inertia™ Color Lines and Adds 1/4” SlideLock to Inertia Line September 2014 Triumph and Inertia, Johnsonite’s highly-durable, multi-functional and sports flooring specialty rubber tile lines, have been recolored to reflect today’s trends in the sports segment for educational, corporate and hospitality venues. The entire color line is new with 26 colorways. Twenty are fashioned as traditional, speckled designs while six are made by Johnsonite’s exclusive Mesto™ tone-on-tone Olio marbleized method, unique to the industry. The Mesto colorways are made in the same field colors as six of the speckled tiles so the two can be used in coordinating patterns. The 26 colorways contain neutrals along with some best-selling colors added for excitement. Solid colors are available in the twenty field colors of the new Triumph and Inertia speckled lines as special order with no minimums and without SPA’s. As always, custom Speckled, Mesto and Solid Colors are available by special request. Also new to the Inertia line is the patented SlideLock profile in the 1/4” gauge, which allows for glueless installation while hiding the tongue & grove connection system. SlideLock multi-functional and sports flooring, now in both the Triumph and Inertia lines, can be installed without adhesive. SlideLock and traditional interlocking flooring are well-suited for most sporting applications and are great over access flooring or where floors are only temporarily required. They are also a solution in areas where the subfloor is not suitable for glue-down application. Both SlideLock and interlocking tiles can be removed and repurposed elsewhere, donated to charity or returned to Johnsonite for recycling. Triumph and Inertia are standard as square edge, glue-down tiles and as SlideLock hidden locking tiles. Triumph is also available as standard in the interlocking (puzzle-piece) configuration. Compared to UnderLock, the SlideLock profile is easier to install and expands design capabilities while performing the same functions. As such, the UnderLock profile has now become classified as non-promoted. It will be available as standard in the Speckled colorways until the end of 2014 to fill current specifications. However, it would be best for end-users and installers to recommend that clients transition from UnderLock to SlideLock now. The Triumph & Inertia Chain Set features all the new colors in one handy and convenient vehicle. One Speckled and one Mesto colorway are shown in full thickness in Triumph as well as Inertia. The balance of the colorways is shown in reduced thickness to keep the weight at a minimum and for easier use. The updated chain set card reveals the usual information regarding available colorways, sizes and gauges within both lines. The new chain set item number is 95100-1124. The Multi-Functional and Sports Flooring System and Product Portfolio has been completely revised and is available as item number 95100-92X. The Main Street Display Board is also updated and available as item number 95100-1161. As a part of the Johnsonite system, the new Triumph and Inertia colorways coordinate with other Johnsonite solutions such as traditional and specialty rubber tiles, stair treads, transitions, corner guards, finishing borders and chair rails. Entire project coordination allows specifiers to have a Balanced Choice approach to signature projects, making the space more aesthetically pleasing, safe and productive.
