EXCEPTIONAL STRENGTH DURABILITY EASE

Eagle Sports is proud to announce the release of a new rope to the barefoot waterski market.
Eagle Dynaline is a rope designed to incorporate the features top barefoot waterski athletes are
looking for including strength, durability, versatility, ease of use, and value.
Over the last 5-10 years, barefooters have been skiing on Spectra, Spectra Fusion, or Spectra Core
Fusion. Spectra has been widely accepted for its strength and non-stretch characteristics. But
over the last several years, Dyneema® has been making its way into the high-end watersports
market in place of Spectra mainly due to its superior strength characteristics. Dyneema® has the
same non-stretch characteristics but is much stronger than Spectra, lighter weight, and floats.
EXCEPTIONAL STRENGTH
A rope made with Dyneema® is as strong as a steel wire rope, with the same diameter but only
about 10% of the weight per meter. It outperforms steel and other synthetic rope materials in terms of both tension fatigue and bending fatigue.
DURABILITY
The properties of Dyneema® are not impaired by sea water and the ropes’ breaking strength remains constant in wet or dry conditions. These ropes
have good UV resistance, and are unaffected by oil or commonly used chemicals. They also show good abrasion resistance.
Eagle uses 12 strands of Dyneema® braided together as the core of our barefoot lines. We then encase the Dyneema® core in an outer protective shell
made of 16 strands of braided solid polypropylene. The solid strands in the outer casing resist scuffing and abrasion and will not show white scuffs
when scraped which is common with Spectra fusion ropes.
EASE OF USE
Barefooters are constantly changing handles from wake slalom handles to a fronttoe handles and then to back toe handles. It can be frustrating when the loops in
your rope don’t fit over the handles you use. So, when we developed Eagle
Dynaline, we made sure to design them to allow for all handle types. Each rope is
made up with a 7 inch (regulation) loop at one end and an 18” loop at the other
end which easily fits over front and back toe trick handles. Our 5ft and 10ft
extensions use a 12” loop at both ends.
