What is mKatalog?
 mKatalog is Java application for
mobile phones.
What is it for?
 mKatalog is used for review
of mPortals
What is mPortal?
 mPortal is interactive presentation customized for
display on mobile phones.
mPortal may contain:
List or menus for
choosing title
Forms for
sending SMS
Forms for
phone calling
Forms for web
service call
Forms or lists
for WAP links
How mKatalog communicate with
mPortals?
 mKatalog downloads mPortals from internet, over
GPRS/EDGE/3G or over WLAN
GPRS/EDGE/3G

How to install mKatalog?
 mKatalog could be installed by downloading from link
ota.mkatalog.rs
Are the contents of mPortals fixed?
 No, all of the mPortals can be dynamic and contents can be
changed regardless of mKatalog.
Is that mean that all the content is always
downloaded from the internet?
 No, it’s downloaded only for the first time and when it is
changed. Otherwise, it reads from the cache.
How are mPortals made?
 mPortals are made with application specially designed for
this purpose.
In what language is mKatalog?
 mKatalog support Serbian and English language.
Does this mean that mPortals
can be written only in those languages?
 No, mPortals are independent of
mKatalog and can be written on any
language.
mKatalog system menu is on Serbian
or English language.
How can I choose the language?
 Language can be selected
in two ways:


When you first start your application
Or after, under
Options-Settings-Choose language
How can I change mPortal?
 Choose Options – Go to…

Type the name of mPortal or
part of the name in the field.
If you leave blank you’ll get all
available mPortals.
Do I have to constantly go through all the
options to get my favorite restaurant?
 No, you do not have. Just go to the
option Search, under menu.
Enter term you are looking for and
select Search.
If you are in some submenu,
you can search in whole mKatalog
or just that submenu.
Can I have my favorite location?
 Yes, of course. You can add to favorites your location, just go to
Menu-Save favorite. If you want to visit favorite location go to
Menu- List of favorites.
Does phone has to constantly ask me to
allow the internet connection?
 The most of newer mobile phones has under
Application Manager option to choose one of the
following:



Ask always
Ask first time
Always allow
mKatalog is certified application, so we recommend to
set the option Always allow. The application won’t do
this on it’s own.
When I am in submenu with several superior menus,
e.g. InfoPlus, Cars, Car saloons…, is it necessary to
select back several times to return to home menu?
 No, it is enough to select Go to home under Menu.
What is option Where am I?
 When you are in some submenu you can select option ‘Where
am I’ to check parent menus of your submenu. You can select
each of listed menus and visit it.
Can I change icon size?
 Yes, under Menu– Settings–
Icon size
What is registration?
 Registration is not necessary, and
you can use mKatalog without
being registration. If you register
we can send you promotion
material, give you some discounts,
free contents to download, etc.
Can I set as start mPortal
some other but mKatalog?
 Yes, you can.
Go to Menu– Settings–
Choose start menu.
What is delete history
option?
 Delete history is deleting cached
data. If you delete history you have
to download all the content from
the internet again.
After installation it is
necessary to choose:
 Icon size
 Language
 Start menu - mPortal
Each other start
 Begins from this point
