Q2S advisement information for the Calculus Sequence: This document is a guide for students who have completed some courses in the Calculus sequence under the quarter system but need to take more Calculus courses under the semester system. For such students, appropriate `bridge courses’ will be offered if needed, to make sure that semester course prerequisites have been met. These bridge courses will be offered in Summer 2016, Fall 2016, and Winter Intersession 2017. Quarter-to-semester correspondences The four-quarter Calculus sequence consists of MATH 206, 207, 208, and 209. The three-semester Calculus sequence will consist of MATH 2110, 2120, and 2130. For students who require bridge courses, the information below is divided according to whether the bridge course is taken while we are still on quarters (Summer 2016) or after we switch to semesters (Fall 2016 or Winter Intersession 2017). Courses taken during summer and Winter Intersession will be offered as 0-unit workshops through PaGe and course credit will be given in the following quarter. Note that Math 208 is accepted as a prerequisite to Math 2130, so students who have completed Math 208 by the end of Spring 2016 will not require any bridge courses. Last updated 5/20/2015 Advisement Table if the Bridge Course is taken in Summer 2016 During the summer quarter 2016, bridge courses will be taken as a 0-unit workshop through PaGE, and credit will be given for the corresponding semester bridge course in Fall 2016. Credit for Math 207B will be given as Math 2115; Credit for Math 208 will be given as Math 2125. Math 207B is the first half of Math 207, and corresponds to 2 quarter units. The bridge course Math 208 is identical to the current Math 208 course. During the Winter 2017 Intersession, bridge courses will be taken as a 0-unit workshop through PaGE, and credit will be given for the corresponding semester bridge course in Spring 2017.
