The Headteacher/principal should retain a copy and send a copy of the completed for to the Appropriate
Body within 10 working days of the NQT completing the assessment period.
Hard copies will be required at certain stages of assessment, particularly for signature, unless they are
submitted on-line with the necessary authentication in place of signatures.
The original copy should be retained by the NQT.
If you do not receive a receipt confirmation within 2 weeks of submission, please contact the AB Admin
Officer.
The AB for statutory induction may personalise and adapt the forms to suit local needs, inc. use on-line.
The Appropriate Body will provide email confirmation for all NQT forms received.

Please note that, once Sunderland have notified NCTL of successful completion of induction, you will
receive a confirmation email which will include an area to click onto so you can download your
certificate.
Your induction certificate is an important document; proof of which may well be required when you
apply for another job or if you apply to teach abroad. This process for receiving your certificate
makes it your responsibility for making sure that your contact details held by NCTL are as
accurate and up to date as possible.
Sunderland will contact your school, confirming that your name has been returned to NCTL as having
successfully completed induction, but please note this is for information only and cannot be used as
proof of passing your NQT year.
