COMPETITION RULES The Competition will be held according to the Rules of the FINA Handbook 2013-2017. Competition Format SOLO Technical Routine Final (100%): each Solo will perform the required elements. Free Routine Final (100%): each Solo will perform the free routine, which may consist of any listed figures, strokes and / or parts thereof to music DUET Technical Routine Final (100%): each Duet will perform the required elements. Free Routine Final (100%): each Duet will perform the free routine, which may consist of any listed figures, strokes and / or parts thereof to music MIXED DUET Technical Routine Final (100%): each Mixed Duet will perform the required elements. Free Routine Final (100%): each Mixed Duet will perform the free routine, which may consist of any listed figures, strokes and / or parts thereof to music TEAM Technical Routine Final (100%): each Team will perform the required elements. Free Routine Final (100%): each Team will perform the free routine, which may consist of any listed figures, strokes and / or parts thereof to music FREE COMBINATION Free combination final has competitors who make a combination of routines The Routines are choreographed to music. The composition of Duet, Mixed Duet, Team and Free Combination shall be declared no later than two hours before the commencement of the session in which the event shall take place. ROUTINE PANELS Three panels of fine judges will be used to judge each event. Free routines: 1. Panel one: Execution 2. Panel two: Artistic Impression 3. Panel three: Difficulty Technical routines: 1. Panel one: 2. Panel two: 3. Panel three: Execution Impression Elements 8. AWARDS Only 1 Solo, 1 Duet, 1 Team and 1 Free Routine Combination will count in the Overall Ranking. The added scores achieved by each Country / Club shall decide the ranking in the Competition. There will be separate ranking for National Teams and Clubs. The National Team ranked 1st shall be awarded a Trophy The Club ranked 1st shall be awarded a Trophy Medals and Diplomas will be awarded to the 1 st – 3rd places in all Routine Events. 9. MEETINGS Team Managers’ Meeting Venue: Athletic centre D. VIKELAS Date: Friday June 9th 10:30 hours. The agenda will include: - Withdrawals - Amendments to entry data - Passport Check - The draw - Information on athlete flows Technical Officials Meeting Venue: Athletic centre D. VIKELAS Date: Friday June 9th 12:00 hours. 10. OPENING CEREMONY The Opening Ceremony will take place on Saturday June 10th, at 19.30 hours before Team Free Routine. The O.C kindly requests the countries/clubs to participate. More details will be explained during Team Managers’ Meeting. The OC expects the athletes in their official federation/club tracksuits with appropriate footwear. 11. VICTORY CEREMONY The Duet Technical, Solo Technical, Team Technical Victory Ceremony will take place on June 9th at 21:00 hours after the Team Technical Routine and the Solo Free, Duet Free, Team Free Victory Ceremony will take place on June 10th at 21:30 hours after the Team Free Routine. The Free Routine Combination Victory ceremony will be held on June 11th at 12:00 hours. 12. LOCAL TRANSPORTATION During the entire event, will be available a special transport (hotel-poolhotel) for athletes, team officials, judges and Technical Committee, according to the competition and training program. The schedule will be given at the Technical Meeting. 13. USEFUL INFORMATION Syros in the Aegean Sea. The largest towns are Ermoupoli, Ano Syros, and Vari. Ermoupoli is the capital of the island and of the Cyclades. It has always been a significant port town, and during the 19th century it was even more significant than Piraeus. Other villages are Galissas, Foinikas, Pagos, Manna, Kini and Poseidonia. Galissas, is built on the namesake, the beautiful sandy bay in Gallisou and is 8km from Ermoupoli. Galissas is the major resort of Syros.
