General Information:
The Campus Activities Board (CAB) at the University of La Verne is a non-profit student organization, which
serves as the largest student programming board on campus coordinating a variety of programs annually. The
Campus Activities Board is one of the most exciting and active groups on campus. Consisting of nine committees
that program in different areas of interest, CAB constantly strives to develop new and innovative programs for the
campus community. Committees include: Comedy, Concerts, Films, Games, Recreation, & Spirit, Intramural
Sports, Major Events (Homecoming, Winter Formal and Commuter Days), Multicultural Programs, Philanthropy
and Special Events. Through involvement, CAB also provides students with concrete experiences in planning,
marketing, and implementing programs to help them develop lifelong skills to complement their academic
experiences at the University of La Verne.
The Campus Activities Board is primarily funded by the Associated Students of the University of La Verne from
student fees paid by each traditional undergraduate student enrolled at the University of La Verne. All positions on
staff are paid positions. Pay rates vary depending on the position and are not work-study positions.
All applicants must be able to attend a weekly CAB staff meeting (approximately 1 hour).

1. Being a CAB E-Board member means that you have the ability to guide a team. List and describe
programming experiences and positions that you have held in the past where you played the lead.
What skills have you learned through these experiences that will assist you in organizing and
directing the CAB team?
2. Changes are constantly being made to improve CAB and our programs and events to meet the needs
of the students. Please discuss how you handle working in a changing/flexible work environment.
3. The relationship between CAB Chair and Vice Chair play an important role in fostering a closeknit CAB family. What characteristics would you search for in your fellow E-Board member?
(Example: if you lack a certain quality or have a weakness in a certain skill, you may want a
partner who is strong in this area, certain personality that compliments yours, strengths vs.
weaknesses, etc).
4. If hired to a CAB E-Board position, how would you describe the CAB experience to a potential
Cabbie applicant?
5. **Marketing applicants only: (all others need not answer). What software programs do you most
frequently use when creating posters, flyers, etc.? What software programs are you familiar with?
