Junior Hurricanes Free PNC Squirt Clinic for Rising 2008 and 2007 Birth Years
The Junior Hurricanes are offering a free Squirt skills clinic for all 2008 and 2007 birth year
players that are interested in playing travel hockey next season and learning more about the
Junior Hurricanes Squirt Program offering. The clinic will be held at PNC Arena on Friday, March
31st from 6:45 – 8:15 p.m. The session will be run by current Junior Hurricanes coaches that
have and will continue to coach at the Squirt level including Shane Willis, Andrew Barron, Dave
Jones, Colin Muldoon, Steve Stephenson, Rich Shulmistra as well as former NHL players and
Junior Hurricanes coaches Jesse Boulerice and Steve Rice. The clinic will provide an example of
the coaching philosophy for the squirt age group for skaters and goalies and give parents a
chance to see their players on-ice with some of our coaches. The Carolina Hurricanes mascot
Stormy will make an appearance as well.
During the on-ice session Dan Hollis, Shane Willis, Steve Henley and other members of the
Junior Hurricanes Board of Directors will be available for a brief presentation on the Junior
Hurricanes Program in section 114 overlooking the arena. The clinic is limited to only 2008 and
2007 birth years for both skaters and goalies. Registration will open shortly and will close on
Monday, March 27th .
