Mixed teams
All teams must have 2 girls in the water during the entire game
Games are 4 x 5 minute quarters
Team Numbers: 6 Players in Pool incl. Goalie. Total Number in Team 11
This is a school Competition. All team members must be from the same school.
Small schools can combine teams but
permission must be obtained from Terry Logan for combined teams or for team
members outside your school.
Entry Fee $295.00 per team

Basic Water Polo Rules
Teams: Each team shall consist of 6 players, including the goalkeeper, & 5 reserves
Substitutes; May enter after a goal is scored, during interval between quarters and

5. To be offside – in oppositions 2m without the ball
6. For the goalkeeper to go over half way mark
Exclusion Foul: Players have a maximum of 3 major fouls then excluded from the
Game. When excluded you must swim to your corner –sub bench
And return after a wave from the ref (or table)
1. Interfere with the taking of a free throw
2. To push or throw the ball away after the ref has given free throw
3. To splash an opponent
4. To hold, sink or pull back on opponent not holding the ball
5. To kick or strike an opponent intentionally
6. Misconduct – foul language, violent play or disrespect to official
7. For not moving away from a player awarded a free throw
Penalty Throw;
Taken by a player of attacking team from 5m on refs whistle,
Committing a foul within the 5m to stop a goal being scored.
