Position Summary: Assistant Coach of Football is a full-time, twelve month position that will be responsible for assisting
the Head Football Coach in all areas of the program including recruitment, training, game preparation, scouting
opponents, game planning, and academic monitoring of student-athletes. Other duties may include but are not limited
to organization of team travel, scheduling, equipment ordering and issue, community service coordination, strength and
conditioning, summer camp and tournament organization, video coordination. Other duties may be assigned by the
Head Football Coach and/or Athletic Director. Assistant Coach of Football is required to abide by all Southern Athletic
Association (SAA), NCAA Division III, and institutional rules and regulations.
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred. Candidate must possess a strong
commitment to the student-athlete concept along with a working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Qualified
individuals must have at least four years college coaching experience with coordinating experience being preferred.
Individuals must possess some background in NCAA Division III and/or non-scholarship recruiting. Persons must possess
effective leadership, communication, teaching, and recruiting skills. Recruiting experience in Texas and California is
preferred.
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Other: This position will be a defensive assistant position and could possibly carry title of Assistant Head Football Coach
and/or Defensive Coordinator
