You will never see a person touch a
basketball for the first time and
instantly they are an amazing
player. Every great player
understands that there is hard work
that goes into being great. I believe
that greatness can be attained with
hard work, mental toughness,
preparation and proper technique.
“I wasn't real quick, and I wasn't real
strong. Some guys will just take off and
it's like, whoa. So I beat them with my
mind and my fundamentals.”
-Larry Bird

Since becoming the Head Coach of the
Raa Basketball program in 2011,
Joshua King has taken teams to the
Middle School basketball championship
game, winning the championship
multiple times. Coach King has worked
with youth sports for over 10 years and
has Junior College, High School and
Middle School coaching experience.
Joshua’s love for the game and
passion for teaching young people
translates into his coaching style. He
believes that every great player
started with a solid foundation of
fundamental basketball. His aim is to
have every player, no matter their
skill level, that comes through his
camp to leave having solid
fundamentals and the ability to build
on those skills as they grow their
game.
Rams Camp Mission:
T
he Mission of the Rams
Basketball Program is to equip
young basketball players with
the necessary fundamental
skills to be able to have a solid foundation
to build their game upon.
Basic,
fundamental
basketball will
always be
successful. The
player’s
natural ability
and
athleticism can
be added to
these skills in
order to
become a great player. We
feel this camp provides that imperative
first step to being able to have a lot of
success on the basketball court.

“When I was young, I had to learn the
fundamentals of basketball. You can have all the

know the fundamentals.”
