Cloud ROI Assessment Service First Look This first look at our Cloud Assessment Report shows just a small portion of the full assessment that is included in the service. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The Cloud ROI Assessment Service provides a review of the infrastructure for cloud migration. Our approach initiates the cloud ROI assessment process by understanding your environment. For customers who are just beginning their journey to the cloud, our assessment is an opportunity for you to fully understand what cloud will mean to your organisation not just from a technology point of view, but also from a people and process standpoint. It provides a detail Cloud Assessment Report outlini ng the cloud migration which helps you to plan the migration roadmap that is on budget, on scope, and on time during their cloud journey. The entitlements of the cloud ROI assessment service: x Discover customer’s infrastructure. x Assess parameters using an automated approach and needs expert analysis for evaluating the metrics. x Roadmap: Categorize infrastructure and applications based on “First to Move”, “Next to Move” and “Last to Move” – based on scoring method. x Cloud ROI: Publish ROI analysis on moving to cloud. x Remain On-premise x Identify known limitations and constraints on cloud migration. x Identify applications & servers that are candidates for retirement & consolidation . x Provide recommendations on cloud targets of on-premise resources & applications . x Provide network readiness for cloud. CLOUD ASSESSMENT PHASES Here are the stages followed to access your infrastructure for cloud migration. Discovery Assess Activities x Information Collection (data forms, discussions, collaboration sessions, Q/A) & Sales discussions x Evaluate infrastructure & Network with custom automated tools x Assessment based on assessment guidelines/frameworks Outcomes x Assessment kick off x Complete customer landscape discovery Activities Outcomes x Evaluate the metrics gathered from ‘Discovery’ phase x Collect metrics x Technical assessment of cloud adoption based on data gathered x x Identify cloud targets to on premise infrastructure Rationalize and arrive at categorization x Technical assessment Activities Outcomes x Map existing infrastructure and/or application to appropriate cloud service x Cloud Roadmap x Identify limitations (if any) on cloud migration – Advisory Report x x Recommend next steps Recommendations on cloud transformation based on assessment Advisory Migration Cloud Readiness Evaluation Overview Cloud Readiness evaluates which workloads, infrastructure and applications are best suited to migrate and run in the cloud. This assessment identifies the dependencies and impact on your existing infrastructure and prepares you to begin adopting Cloudbased infrastructure, services and solutions. Cloud readiness addresses the following key areas: x Overall Cloud readiness: Highlights the overall cloud readiness based on the assessment carried out. x Server and Workload readiness: Evaluates server workload readiness, servers hosted (Physical/VM), server state, score, target cloud service and notes. x Network readiness: Evaluates overall network bandwidth, health, status, score, target, alternate target and notes. Example: Overall Cloud Readiness This section highlights the overall cloud readiness based on the assessment carried out. Most of these categories are common to both on-premise and cloud infrastructure, except the ‘overheads’ which is applicable only for the on-premise infrastructure. The main advantage on migrating to Azure Cloud infrastructure would be comparatively less spend on ‘Software/OS Licenses ’ cost. The On-premise spends shows highest percentage of total cost spent on ‘IT support’ and ‘Software/OS Licenses’. However these categorizes show comparatively lesser spent on Cloud infrastructure. Though the IT spend on Azure cloud on ‘Hardware’ category is much higher among the rest of categorizes, the overall spend on Azure Cloud is much less than onpremise infrastructure. g p represent p p g of each IT category g y spend p p p Followingg graphs the percentage of total IT spend for both On-premise and Azure cloud. It provides a step by step charter to customer’s cloud journey. This gives a clear picture of how to map an existing infrastructure application to appropriate cloud service. The key factors we consider while prioritizing applications for cloud adoption are application criticality, business benefits, risks and feasibility for cloud migration. Our Cloud Advisory Services will generate the following reports: x Infrastructure Assessment x Database Assessment x Application Assessment x Backup and Disaster Recovery Infrastructure Assessment Report The below report details the infrastructure findings that were discovered and assessed during assessment.
