NCJLA Team Scholarship Application – 2014 Season
NCJLA Team Scholarship Program Goal
The NCJLA strives to eliminate barriers to growing lacrosse in Northern California. Providing financial
support to member clubs, particularly those serving low-income populations, is consistent with the
NCJLA’s values as an organization. This program will work to that end, specifically by targeting clubs and
teams from areas where financial issues may otherwise hinder that growth. In addition, to help offset
high start up costs, clubs that are brand new to the NCJLA will also be eligible to apply for team level
scholarships.
Team Level Scholarships
Teams receiving an NCJLA scholarship will have 90% of their team registration fees waived and 50% of
their officials’ fees per game waived for the 2014 season. On average, these scholarships will amount to
approximately $1,000 per team, depending on the division. Exact awards will be determined by the
NCJLA Scholarship Committee.
Application Process
Deadline November 8, 2013
1. Fill out the following application.
2. Email application to [email protected] before the November 8 deadline.
3. The NCJLA Scholarship Committee will review applications in early November and
make a recommendation to the NCJLA Board of Directors at the November meeting.
The board will approve final awards.
4. Applicants will be notified shortly thereafter, and before the NCJLA’s team
registration deadline.
5. Clubs/teams awarded scholarships will then use a special code when registering
