PURE PORCELAIN CERAMIC SINKS
CARE & MAINTENANCE TIPS
Cleaning Guide
Offered in an array of styles, colors, and shapes, Pure
porcelain ceramic sinks feature many unique benefits,
including heavy duty feel, classy and sophisticated looks,
while offering an integral overflow in almost all of the models
available. Pure porcelain ceramic sinks are easy to clean and
maintain. They can be enjoyed indefinitely with a little bit of
regular care and maintenance.
Sprinkle baking soda on any rust spots or stubborn stains.
Rust spots will be most common on the base of the sink
near the drain. Use the wet sponge to scrub the rust with
the baking soda, creating a paste. Let the paste sit for 10
minutes.
The following types of cleaners should never be used:
• Coarse cleaners with grit (Ajax)
• Acidic chemicals
• Alcohol based cleaners
Rinse the sink with white vinegar. The vinegar will foam
when it touches the baking soda. This is normal and will
help remove any residual staining. Rinse the sink and dry
with a soft cloth.
Keep abrasive cleaning pads away from your Pure
Porcelain Ceramic sink, including:
• Steel Wool
• Brillo Pads
• Pumice Products
• Wire Brushes
Remember to avoid contact of your Pure sink with
products that are high in acidity. Do not use any
dishwashing detergents or bleaches containing chlorine.
Any of these types of cleaners and chemicals can stain
and weaken the surface of your sink. If these products
do come in contact with your Pure sink, rinse the sink
thoroughly immediately and dry with a towel or soft cloth.
In order to prolong the life of you Pure porcelain ceramic sink,
simple daily maintenance is the key to keep your sink in its
original condition. Clean your sink after each use with a soapy
sponge, then rinse thoroughly with warm water. You may dry it
with a towel or a dry cloth. This will eliminate water spots and
streaks, while the sink is in use.
Abrasive bathroom cleaners like Ajax will scour and dull the
ceramic or porcelain, causing it to lose lustre and shine. Avoid
using these types of abrasives.
Remember that Pure porcelain ceramic sinks are formed
from the highest quality porcelain ceramic techniques,
and are extremely durable and resistant to corrosion.
However, despite the durability and strength of these
sinks, they may still be damaged if proper measures are
not taken in their care and maintenance.
Stains
You may begin to notice stains on your porcelain ceramic
sink, but don’t be alarmed as they are most often caused by
minerals within your water supply. These mineral deposits
are known for causing stains by settling on the surface of the
ceramic.
Elimination of these stain spots are simple by using a nonabrasive cleaner such as soft-scrub. It’s important not to apply
force while cleaning your Pure sink, so that you prevent any
undo stress on the ceramic which can lead to chipping and
cracking in the future. Do not forcefully scrub the stain, as you
may scour the ceramic to an irreparable state.
