What is Response Check?
 A service designed to help responding companies review their response before submitting it
 Delivered by CDP’s accredited consultancy partners especially trained by CDP’s technical team
 Follow-up with written feedback which can easily be incorporated into your response
 Follow-up with a feedback call from the consultant
 Includes a check of the core modules in the 2016 CDP investor and supply chain questionnaires (Question
groups 1-15)

How does Response Check work?
 Arrange your check with CDP
 Liaise with the allocated consultant to your timeline
 Extract your response to Word and send it to the consultant
 Consultants will review your response against a detailed checklist and feed back to you via email and phone
 You will incorporate the feedback into your response and submit via the ORS

What is included in the feedback?
Included:
 Data-points that should be addressed in qualitative responses
 An indication of priority areas that are weighed highly in the scoring methodology
 Highlighting where information has not been provided in the appropriate place
 If you have clearly misunderstood a question, this will be addressed in a feedback session
Not included:
 An evaluation of the quality of your response
 An evaluation of the accuracy of provided figures
 An evaluation of the content of attachments
 An evaluation of your expected scores

Top tips - Formulating your response
 Formulate your response using the 2016 Guidance document and the Scoring Methodology, and provide all the points required
 Review responses from companies in CDP’s A-List to see examples of high quality responses
 Avoid leaving qualitative questions blank, and for quantitative questions enter a figure if you have one
 Avoid using jargon
 Cross references to other questions are not scored, nor are links to external websites
 Use the main text fields provided for your responses and NOT the “Further Information‟ field
 Be aware of character limits in free text fields in the ORS

 If you would like to arrange a Response Check but are concerned about timelines, speak

 Do not wait until the last minute to get your response checked and leave time to
incorporate the feedback into the ORS
