Additional Articles Free Time Marco Conte, Cabin D In the time span of free time I decided to do archery. When you get to the range you can see three targets and a bench. I lined up to shoot the bow and when it was my turn I made many flaws including holding the bow upside down and having my fingers on the wrong wire. But besides all these flaws, I missed every shot! Camp John Marcucci, Cabin L I had to come late because I had to see my new school Blake Middle School. I was really disappointed that I couldn’t come right in the beginning like everyone else. But when I got to camp I felt welcome. I saw Bob right away and he welcomed me. When I got my stuff in my cabin they told me how to play Ga-Ga-Ball and were really nice to me. They made me feel welcome. I can’t wait for the rest of camp life. The Comeback T.J. Nolan, Cabin C It was on the line. We were one game away from losing the dodgeball series and from losing our first sports game. Cabin L does not quit, though. Our team started to work together. We gota few guys on the other team out and did not stop until we got them all out. Then, it came down to the tiebreaking game. Our team came out on top and remained undefeated. We hope to keep up the chemistry to help us win the cup. Our First Game Ben Connaughton, Cabin L Today we played our first sports games and went 2-0. In our first game, kickball, we played the Krypto Knives and won 12-1. In the first game we played 3 innings. Also, I the first inning we got 6 runs! After that win we went to the hanger to play dodgeball against the Headless Horsemen and won 4 games to none. I don’t know if this means we are going to win every game but we definitely had a great start! Around Camp Paul Connaughton, Cabin L Cabin L is keeping the lead for two days. Living on lottery is 4-0 in sports. Father Joe is making Jeopardy in catechism and making it fun. Night games are really fun and making campers sweat. My favorite sport is dodgeball because we have won twice. Rock Climbing Johnny Francis, Cabin B The rock climbing was really fun. After I put on my harness I was ready to go. I slipped a few times, but I made it to the top. It wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be. It was fun being at the top. I think everybody should try it. The Cabins Sean Kay, Cabin C Juniors, freshman, seniors, and sophomores are all the sections of cabins that are of Camp Frank A. Day. The juniors and freshman are the sections that belong to Sebago. All the cabins have bunk beds and two beds for the counselors. The cabins are okay, despite the number of bugs that somehow float in. Each cabin is very similar, with some having writings and names in them. All in all the cabins are small, freaky, and fun to be in. Free Time Ben Elenbaas, Cabin E Free time is one of the best parts at Sebago. You are free to do any activity such as archery, climbing a rock wall, gagaball, or going to the lake. At the lake, you can swim, kayak, and even go on the barge. But, that’s not all. You can play any sport such as Frisbee, soccer, and basketball. At Sebago camp, free time is one of the best parts of the day. The Morning Run Oscar Cheffers, Cabin A The morning run is not the best activity. You have to get out of bed cold and tired and go on a run. But the morning helps us exercise multiple virtues like perseverance, courage, and respect. These virtues help us in our everyday lives and to get us through hard situations. The morning run does a lot more than we know. Basketball Tommy, Cabin H I was playing basketball with my cousin; we finished the first game when his brother scored a 3 to win the game. The next game the teams were uneven but the worse team was winning 7-2 when my team went for the three they missed, we took another shot, miss it, it comes to my cousin Jacob, he goes for the ball and Brendan hits his face and he cries. He has a black eye and went to see the doc. Food Francis Devaney, Cabin C We should be very thankful for our food. Lori and everyone work very hard to feed us. The food is really good. I especially liked the pizza. My favorite desert was the ice cream. I love French Vanilla. When I received all those I was very happy. This is some good food! Power and Politics John-Paul Franks, Cabin G Power and Politics (not conquering the world, that’s not its name) is a zinger of a class, even if you’re not very diplomatic. Plus, if you didn’t know, voting is fun! Wiffle Ball/Dodgeball Tristan Brehenly, Cabin K Yesterday my cabin played dodgeball against cabin L. Cabin L is the undefeated cabin and we lost to them. It was the closest we ever came to beating them, but luckily we beat cabin D in wiffle ball. We beat Michael’s (a kid in our cabin) older brother (in cabin D) and finally won our first game. Hopefully tomorrow Cabin K will win more points. Trebuchet Class Nick Dalsass, Cabin B My brother, Charlie, John, Fahie and I all built a trebuchet out of pencils, popsicle sticks, masking tape, string, straws and toothpicks. This is a really fun class taught by Mr. Devaney. I enjoyed building our trebuchet. Our catapult shot 44 inches. I really enjoyed being in this class at Sebago Leadership Camp. Archery Alessandro Barbiellini, Cabin K During free time I enjoy to go to the archery range. Although it seems easy, shooting an arrow is actually hard, requiring patience, aiming and concentration. The people who ran the range were king. They explained how to shoot an arrow and helped us put the gear on as well as how to make our shoes better. The people always encourage safety but don’t annoy us about it. This place is a great place to go and I will definitely go back. Cabin K Sports Max Lyman, Cabin K Yesterday, we won one game and lost one game. We lost to Cabin L in dodgeball, 3-2. It was a hard loss because we had lost to them the day before and wanted redemption. We beat Cabin D in whiffle ball. It was so awesome to win our first game. Hopefully, we can do better today. If we win both games today, we will reach 500.
