Submission Guide
The price match guarantee program is
designed to help students conveniently
purchase new textbooks from the UBC
Bookstore at the lowest possible price. In
order to verify and approve submissions, it’s
important to understand the requirements and
provide necessary documentation. Please
carefully review this guide to ensure your
submission is valid and complete.

How it Works
1.
Purchase your textbook(s) at the UBC Bookstore. Textbooks must be purchased new.
2. Complete the price match guarantee form.
3. Print a screenshot of the competitor’s
textbook webpage and include the time, date,
URL, book title, price, availability and ISBN
(international standard book number). The
book(s) must be new and sold by a major
Canadian online retailer, such as amazon.ca or
chapters.indigo.ca.
4. Bring the completed form, printed
screenshot, original UBC Bookstore receipt and
UBCcard to the Bookstore refunds counter or
information desk.
5. Receive a refund for the difference via your
original form of payment. Only verified
submissions will receive refunds. You will be
contacted when your submission has been
verified or denied.

must be submitted before the return deadline.
Note the date of purchase and
review the UBC Bookstore’s
return policy at the bottom of
the receipt to make sure the
return deadline hasn’t passed.
