7 The
end of all things is at hand; therefore be selfcontrolled and sober-minded for the sake of your
prayers. 8 Above all, keep loving one another earnestly,
since love covers a multitude of sins. 9 Show hospitality to
one another without grumbling. 10 As each has received a
gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's
varied grace: 11 whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles
of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength
that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be
glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory
and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
1 Peter 4:7-11 ESV
“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in
God; believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are
many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told
you that I go to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I
go and prepare a place for you, I will come again
and will take you to myself, that where I am you
may be also.
John 14:1-3 ESV
11 Besides
this you know the time, that the
hour has come for you to wake from
sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than
when we first believed.
Romans 13:11 ESV
12 The
night is far gone; the day is at hand.
So then let us cast off the works of
darkness and put on the armor of
light. 13 Let us walk properly as in the
daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness,
not in sexual immorality and sensuality, not
in quarreling and jealousy. 14 But put on the
Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision
for the flesh, to gratify its desires.
Romans 13:12-14 ESV
13 Come
now, you who say, “Today or
tomorrow we will go into such and such a
town and spend a year there and trade and
make a profit”— 14 yet you do not know
what tomorrow will bring. What is your life?
For you are a mist that appears for a little
time and then vanishes. 15 Instead you ought
to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do
this or that.”
James 4:13-15 ESV
8
But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord
one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one
day. 9 The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count
slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any
should perish, but that all should reach repentance. 10 But the
day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will
pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned
up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on
it will be exposed. 11 Since all these things are thus to be
dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of
holiness and godliness, 12 waiting for and hastening the coming
of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on
fire and dissolved, and the heavenly bodies will melt as they
burn!
2 Peter 3:8-12 ESV
22 For
we know that the whole creation has
been groaning together in the pains of
childbirth until now. 23 And not only the
creation, but we ourselves, who have the
first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we
wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the
redemption of our bodies. 24 For in this
hope we were saved.
Romans 8:22-24a ESV
