Eureka Genotyping Solution allows breeders to increase the effectiveness of their aquaculture breeding program and boost global fish
production to meet the rising demand for fish products. Using targeted genotyping by sequencing (GBS), Eureka Genotyping Solution
analyzes thousands of samples per week in an easy and affordable manner that requires only standard laboratory equipment. With
several hundred molecular markers for traceability now available, breeders can improve accuracy and use a single panel for multiple
applications.
The higher number of markers in Eureka Genotyping Solution offers better resolution over current techniques. When combined
with affordability, its higher resolution allows the aquaculture industry to use molecular breeding techniques for quantitative trait
loci analysis, traceability, and broodstock management with a single panel. Breeders are now able to precisely select broodstock for
favorable genotypes based on markers directly associated with performance traits versus markers loosely tied to those traits through
linkage analysis.
