This sets out the terms which we have discussed and agreed for your participation as a
mentor on Enterprise Ireland’s Mentor Network Panel.
Your role is to listen to clients and challenge them to consider alternatives in the
development of their business and to help them focus on the key issues and a range of
solutions.
You must not during your appointment as Mentor or afterwards disclose to any company or
person or otherwise make use of any trade secret or other confidential information relating
to the affairs of any company dealing with Forfas, the IDA and Enterprise Ireland which
may come to your knowledge by virtue of your position as Mentor.
This obligation extends to the use of information obtained by virtue of your position for the
purpose of dealing in shares (directly or indirectly) or property.
During your appointment you must communicate to the Manager of the Mentor Network in
Enterprise Ireland any conflict of interest arising out of your position as Mentor
In order to comply fully with Enterprise Ireland’s Professional Indemnity policy you shall
not during your appointment as Mentor accept any appointment whether as director
consultant agent or enter into any commercial arrangement whatsoever with a company
while acting as a mentor to that company unless prior consent in writing has been obtained
from the Mentor Network Manager.
In the event that Enterprise Ireland consents then such consent shall be conditional upon
your resignation as a Mentor to that company with immediate effect
Enterprise Ireland reserves the right to remove your name from the Mentor panel by
written notice summarily if you breach any of the above terms.
In any event either party may terminate this arrangement by notice in writing
You warrant that you are an independent contractor and agree that your role as a mentor
does not render you an employee, consultant or agent of Enterprise Ireland and you will
not hold yourself out as such to any party
Please return one signed copy as soon as possible to Mentor Network and retain
the second copy for your own records.
I agree to be bound by the above terms and conditions while working with the Enterprise
Ireland Mentor Network.
