Let’s Be Stretchy!
Let students explore and play Tiggly Safari for 10 to 15 minutes, to
explore all the different animals that are available. During this time
they should be thinking of all the animals they come across and
the different shapes that they are made of.
Once students are done playing Tiggly Safari, have them open
Tiggly Draw. Have each student choose one animal that they want
to try to recreate. Have them work on recreating their animals in
Tiggly Draw. Once they are done with their creations, have them
take a picture of their animal. Save the pictures to the device and
print them out.
More Stretchy Ideas!
With your Tiggly Draw creations, take a picture of each and put
them into a classroom book. Have the class come together and
write a story about each of their animals.
Add to your Thinker Journal
Have students write a story about the animal they create,
reflecting back on Tiggly Safari and stating where the animal
lives, what noise it makes, and what shapes created that animal.
Engage Parents!
Have the child select an animal. Parents then have to recreate
that animal with just basic shapes – using a sheet of paper and
pencil/crayon/marker. Have parent(s) and child take turns
creating different animals. Save the creations to put into your
Thinker Journals.
