Bean Bag Tournament Rules:
Boards are 27 feet apart from the front of the board to the front of the board. This represents a total of 33 feet from
hole to hole.
Rules for Players:
1. Two players per team
2. Each team gets 4 bean bags to throw.
3. Team members stand on opposite ends directly across from each other.
4. Each player throws from behind the front of the boxes. This is the foul line.
- The player must not pass the foul line or the players throw does not count and the bag is removed from play.
- Each team alternates shots beginning with the team that had scored last.
5. Best of three games per round. Each team is guaranteed two rounds.
6. Each team alternates throws beginning with the team that scored last.
Scoring:
1. Points are scored when a player has a bag on the board (1 point) or in the hole (3 points).
2. Only one team can score per series of tosses. Points cancel each other.
3 Up to three games per round. Best two out of three advances in winner’s bracket
4. First team to 21 points wins; no 2 point rule. If teams are tied at 21, play continues until one team has a higher score.
5. A bag that is tossed in play and knocks another bag off or in the hole is legal.
6. A bag that bounces from the ground onto the board is not a legal play. This bag must be removed and play is then
continued.
