Playing Audio in a PDF
You may have to click through some security prompts in order to play the audio. It is recommended that
you save a local copy of the pdf file, and play the audio on that local version. Here are the steps to save a
copy and play audio in the pdf.
There are two ways to save a copy of the pdf.
1. Right click on the link and save target as. . .
2. Left click the link and open the pdf. Then in the pdf frame, click the save (disk) icon, as depicted
below

Once the pdf is saved, find the file on your local computer (e.g., on your desktop, if that is where
you saved it), and open it.
Click on an interactive component of the pdf (e.g., the vowel sounds depicted below). You may
see a yellow JavaScript bar. Click the Options button, and enable JavaScript (you may see this
bar a second time asking you to “trust the JavaScript”- trust it):
