On April 15, James McMahon, Terry Prendergast and Bobbe Hakl participated in a
conference call for a Conciliation Agreement Negotiation with the EEOC. The negotiation was
not completed. The EEOC has determined that efforts to conciliate the charges have been
unsuccessful. Therefore, the EEOC has forwarded the case to the U.S. Department of Justice,
Employment Litigation Section, Civil Rights Division, for possible litigation. On July 10, the
EEOC notified James McMahon of this decision.
The Media & Journalism accreditation is currently on a provisional status. The department will
be making improvements and will be reevaluated by the accrediting body in the future.
