TOWER BRIDGE SCHOOL NEWSLETTER
24th April 2015
Important Dates
GAME 24
As you may remember, some of our super mathemagicians
in Year 5 got into the final of the local Game 24 tournament.
The final took place last week. They used double digit cards
in the final, which was really hard! After a fantastic attempt,
we came home without the trophy, but the team did
exceptionally well in their achievements!
If you would like to play Game 24, there are 4 puzzles on the
back of the newsletter for you to try!
SCIENCE LEADERS
This week Year 5 voted for Ayo and Mahir to be our first ever
Science Leaders. They have been very keen to take on this
responsibility and made a speech to their class on why they
would be an asset to the school. They already have many
ideas, particularly for the science fair on 22nd May!
PLAYGROUND
School Council and Digital Leaders have been choosing a new
climbing frame to go into the playground.
We have had some playground equipment companies in to
look at the space.
Keep an eye out over this term as we are hoping to have it
finished by the summer holidays!

Make the number 24 from the four numbers on a game card.
You can add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Use all four numbers on the card, but use each number only once.
You do not have to use all four operations.
All number nines have a red centre, so you can tell a nine from a six.
Can you solve the card below?
4 x 3 = 12
12 x 2 = 24
