Competitor: Someone who takes part in sports competitions. Spectator: Someone who watches live something. Viewer: Someone who watches something, especially television. Umpire: The person who makes sure the game is played fairly in tennis, baseball or cricket. Árbitro. Referee: The person who rules on a football match. Árbitro de fútbol. Draw: A contest or game ending with the same result. Empate. Ring: An area where boxing takes place. Punch: To hit with the fist. Dar un Puñetazo. Gloves: a very thick, padded covering for the hand. Hoop: horizontal circular metal supporting a net in which players try to throw the basketball. Aro. Pitch: Area where certain sports are played. Campo. Goal: the act of kicking a ball into the soccer goal. Portería o gol. Net: a fabric made of strings which divides a court in half and over which a ball must be hit. Red.
