Announcements April 23 - Trinity Memorial United Church

Garden Project
You are invited to a garden party! On Saturday April 29th, we
will be building 3 large planter boxes to be installed around the
building and filling them with soil. You are invited to be a part
of this fun day. We will be building the planters in the morning,
then filling them with soil when they are ready. You can be a
part of this project in so many ways and then enjoy the
Farmers Market going on at the same time. Vegetable planting
is planned and you can be part of it. Don’t miss out.

REMIT – Question to change the United Church of Canada.
April 29th 1:00PM The United Church of Canada is changing.
Right now the national church, (General Council) has asked
each congregation to respond to a significant change. We
have to submit out vote on a number or “remits.” One big
change is a change the number of “levels” of the Church. The
church presently has 4 courts: The Pastoral Charge, the
Presbytery, the Conference and the General Council. The
proposed change would mean there would be 3 courts. The
pastoral charge to be called a Faith Community, The Region,
which is a combination the Presbytery and the Conference
and the Denominational council. The board is responsible for
making the decision but we want your input. Please consider
attending an information meeting on April 29th at 1:00pm
