Limitations and other findings
Most of the respondents would not give state their profit values for the 2013 year. So our data is
limited. We do know that only 37% of respondents (12 in total) made a profit in the 2013 year.
We expect the next year’s results to be considerably higher, especially in terms of revenue and profit
since we will then be able to take into account Broforce, Desktop Dungeons and Viscera Clean Up
Detail which will have all been fully released. These games are already international successes are
likely to be South Africa’s most successful titles to date.
