2017 Summer Soccer Shootout
August 1-20, 2017
Dear Soccer Lay Director/Manager/Coach:
St. Margaret Mary Alacoque will again be hosting their Girl’s annual CYC preseason 1st
thru 8th grade soccer tournament. This tournament will begin Tuesday August 1, 2017 and will conclude Championship
games on or before August 20. The tournament will feature a THREE GAME GUARANTEE and championship games for
the top 2 seeds at each grade level. We will work around conflicts such as vacations and other tournaments whenever
possible for the preliminary round of games. Championship game dates and times cannot be changed unless we
encounter rain.
The games will be played at St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Fields.

All CYC District and Archdiocesan parish GIRLS teams from 1st through 8th grades, are invited to this year’s tournament.
No select, club or parochial teams allowed. Games will be played daily between August 1th and August 20th. Games will
begin at 6 p.m. on weekdays, 8:30 on Saturdays and Noon on Sundays.

ALL players will receive a participation T-shirt
ALL Players in each division that finish 1st and 2nd place in the championship round will receive individual medals and
champion and runner-up team trophy.
Slots fill up quickly, so acceptance will be on a first received basis. Please return your REGISTRATION FORM and
PAYMENT before July 15. If after July 15, call for availability. We look forward to having your parish teams participate in
this year’s tournament. We reserve the right to limit the number of teams participating at each grade level.

Applications will be accepted without the entry fee but the fee must be paid prior to the start of first game.
TOURNAMENT DATES: August 1st – August 20th
Please note any games/times that would be a conflict for your team (this includes other tournament games,
vacations, work schedule etc.) We will work around all conflicts whenever possible or reasonable.
Once the schedule is complete and sent out, the only changes made will be for rainouts, NO EXCEPTIONS
We cannot reschedule championship games unless we get rained out, NO EXCEPTIONS
