archery, canoeing, swimming, outdoor
living skills, creative arts and more.

Adventurers or Trekkers: 12-14 year
olds can enjoy one of two advanced
based programs.

Objectives of 4-H Camp:
 Get along with others,
 Make friends and be accepted,
 Respect the rights of others, and
 Appreciate their environment.
The 4-H Camp staff takes pride in
helping youth have fun and learn new
skills while, at the same time, develop
positive attitudes about themselves.

practices for mental, physical,
emotional and social health,

development,
 Set positive attitudes toward
using leisure time more
productively,
 Develop spiritual values,
 Participate in democratic group
and community living,

Health Insurance: All campers must have a
physical examination, signed by a licensed
physician. Campers who have received an
examination within one year of camp dates are
exempt. The Health Department may administer
a physical free of charge.
Bring These Items To Camp:
Bed Linens (sheet, blankets, pillows)
Towels & Wash Cloths
Toilet Articles (shampoo, deodorant, soap, etc.)
Money for 2 lunches (1 going and coming back)
Extra Money (snacks, souvenirs, camp store)
Shoes (tennis, walking)
Water Shoes (required for canoeing)
Sweater, Sweatshirt, Jacket (cool evenings)
Shorts, Jeans, Swimsuit & Rain Coat
Flashlight, Sleeping Bag, Insect Repellent
Suntan Lotion/Sunscreen
Nice Outfit (for banquet)
Long Pants (horseback riding)
Health & Safety: The health and safety of
campers are closely monitored. Each camp is
regularly inspected by the local health
department. Smoke alarms are in each living
quarter.
Medical Insurance: Each camp has limited
medical insurance on every camper with
coverage only for certain accidents and
illnesses. Pre-existing illness is not covered.
Each camp has an infirmary and qualified
medical personnel will be available at camp
throughout the week.
Age Limits: The camp separates the youth by
age for program activities and cabin
assignments.
Staff & Instructors: Campers receive a high
degree of small group interaction and personal
attention from 4-H camp staff and instructors.
These people have been chosen for their
interest in working with youth and skills in
special programs. After pre-camping training,
they can be found as activity instructors and
cabin counselors.
