This result means Hertfordshire have played all four matches without loss and the points gained
today puts us in top position in the East B league. No other county can now equal or better the
Herts points total making the remaining matches in the group, due to be played in July, 'dead
rubbers'.
This is the first time Hertfordshire have reached the quarter finals of the Middleton Cup since
the 1990's. The quarter final will be played on a neutral green on Saturday 22nd July, our
opposition will be known (Bedfordshire/Leicestershire or Essex) following the final round of East
A fixtures on the 8th July.
The winner of the Quarter final match will qualify for the semi-finals at Royal Leamington Spa on
Saturday 5th August.
