Dear Team Captain,
I am delighted to be able to invite you to take part in the Euro Challenge Retriever
Test, hosted by the Game Fair 2017 at Hatfield House, Hertfordshire. This prestigious
event will take place in the International Arena on Friday 28th July 2017.
Hatfield House was the childhood home of Queen Elizabeth 1st. and is set within
stunning grounds. This year the Game Fair will be making great use of the proximity
to London, with special trains to and from the city as well as offering free entry to
BASC members.
The Euro Challenge, will as usual, draw many spectators as this team event is
designed to demonstrate the versatility of the Retriever breed. The Judges appointed
for the day will be Mr. Andrew Wright (A2617) and Mr. Graham Stanley (B1920),
both are experienced handlers of different breeds of Retriever.
The format, as with previous years, will consist of teams of three Retrievers; each
team MUST NOT include two dogs of the same breed. Novia Scotian Duck Tollers,
Flat Coat Retrievers, Curly Coat Retrievers and Chesapeake Bay Retrievers have all
represented their breed and Country well in the event and it is hoped that a variety of
the Retriever breed will again be demonstrated at Hatfield House alongside the
Golden Retriever and Labrador Retriever.
