Publishing a Bulletin on the CASH Website To enable other LKS to re-use your bulletin we suggest uploading a Word version to the site. The bulletins are then displayed using a “Lister” and so it is important to add the correct “Category” to your document so that it is displayed on the correct page. 1. Uploading a document – Asset Manager Login to CASH Select Administration – Content - Asset Click Add and “drag and drop” or browse to find your document Click Next and select Categories 1 Click the + next to CASH Categories to expand the list. Keep expanding until you find the category. You can select more than one category if the bulletin is to be displayed in more than one page. When you have finished click Save and the bulletin should automatically be displayed on the subject page. Moving back to the top menu click on “Current Awareness Service for Health” to return to the live website. Navigate to the page where the bulletin is to be displayed to check that it appears. 2. Deleting a bulletin From the menu options select: Administration - Content – Assets A list of all the documents, files and images is displayed. Use the filters to locate the bulletin you want to remove. For example “Type” and “A-Z”. You can also search by title of the document. 2 Tick the box to the right of the asset title and press Delete 3. Creating a Related Documents Newsfeed For the bulletin to show on the subject page the “lister” needs to have been set up. For most pages these will already have been created, but they may need updating or a new feed created to populate the page. Follow the steps below to create a new feed. From the menu options select: Content – Feeds Click Feeds Click Add or select the feed in a similar way to selecting the bulletin above. Most of the feeds for the subject pages are named “Related documents….” 3 Complete the form as shown below: Move from the General to select the category you want to display in your feed by clicking on Filters towards the top of the page. In the “filter properties” click Add beneath the first box “Must be in any of” and select the category e.g. Related documents Commissioning. Click OK Complete the rest of the form use the default to order by “Date created”. Change the display order to “Descending” to display the newest bulletin first. 4 Press Save and return to Feeds. 3. Configuring the “lister” to display the bulletin newsfeed Navigate to the page where you would like to bulletin to be displayed. Click the button next to “Manage” on the top menu to ON. Select Content – Edit to edit the structure of the page. The page will be similar to the one below. Click in the blue box to setup the lister element and Configure (top left) Source: Feed and select your feed from the drop-down list and click OK. Next move to the Display tab and make the following changes 5 o Maximum Items – usually 4-10 o Row Style – Gamma o Show published date - Date Format – Date only o Open links in new window - Click OK and your page should look similar to the one below: Heather Gardner CASH, 2017 (Last updated May 2017) 6
