1. Introduction
1.1 Purpose
This Design Requirement Specification (DRS) is specific to Project Name Board. Its main function is
listed as below:

1.2 Requirements Numbering Guidelines
Requirements are denoted by an identifier tag enclosed within square brackets, e.g. “[HRS-YYY]”. These tags
are unique and are the basis for traceability analysis. “HRS” means hardware requirement specification, YYY
is requirement ID for the subsystem or PWA. Sub requirement ID is acceptable, such as HRS-001.1.
Type column is to identify the requirement be formal design requirement specification, or be information.
The formal design requirement specification is denoted as “REQ”, shall be traced to high level requirement,
and verified. The item is denoted as “INF”, be informational, do not be verified.

In future revisions, if a requirement is deleted, the text of the requirement shall be replaced with the word
REMOVED. The requirement numbers shall remain unchanged to allow for traceability across revisions of
the specification.
