KU Swimming and Water Polo seeks a head coach for the competition team for master
swimmers. Do you want to be the driving force and help to fulfill our visions which is to be the
most winning club at the national championships?
What you are going to do:
In the role of head coach, you will have the overall responsibility for coordinating the club's seven
weekly workouts with one-two assistant coaches.
You will train a large group of adult swimmers who participate in the training for various reasons;
some have ambitions and goals for their swimming, others are primarily joining the practice for
social reasons. As a coach, you must be able to embrace these different swimmers so that they
profit from the training.
In this position, you will have a lot of freedom where you will have to influence the development
of the club. You will have the opportunity to develop the swimmers technique and physical
performance, and for example, attend the Danish elite level for senior swimmers and master's
championships. This means that you as a coach should be able to help the swimmers to achieve
their full potential.

Has a background as a competitive swimmer and has experience from previous positions as
a swimming coach
Is a strong communicator
Has an understanding of the technical aspects of swimming
Can make programs that alternate or at the same time target short, medium and long
distance swimmers
Can think long-term and develop an overall training plan for a season in relation to heavy
training and withdrawal
Is willing to attend competitions
Has good social skills and can work together with the other coaches and the board
