High Priority Notifications
Menu: Notification Subscription page (under User Preferences on the left side menu)
Added a High Priority Notification option for subscriptions to allow user to subscribe to get notifications as a pop-up
message when logged into eSchoolPLUS.

Teacher Access Center
Hide Classes With No Students Assigned
Provided option to enable teachers to hide classes with no students assigned.
Previously, the teacher’s Home Page in TAC shows all classes, even if no students are enrolled in the class.
All Classes: Will show all classes, even if students are not enrolled.
My Classes: Will show classes with at least one student enrolled.
The Class Chooser is also affected. In the top right corner, click “Show All” to display all courses, including those which
have no students enrolled.
Table-Verified Field Entry Modification
Old dropdowns have been replaced with “magnifying glass” icons. The arrow keys can now be used to move from field
to field, as well as TAB.
This improves performance, and faster page loading, especially on the competency entry page.
4
Change Passwords within Teacher Access Center
If enabled by your district, teachers will be able to change passwords within Teacher Access Center. A “Change
Password” option in TAC when they click on their username in the banner.
Save Settings in TAC
Throughout TAC, you will now see a gear icon in the toolbar.
This allows the user to save and restore certain settings on the page, such as field/column choices, column widths, view
settings, and other preferences.
Example: The teacher wants to always display the Student ID on the Gradebook Entry page.
5
Immunization Alerts
In addition to the alerts teachers now see, if enabled by the district, teachers will see an alert if a student ‘s
immunizations are overdue.
6
Load from Gradebook and Multiple Classes
Teachers can now use the “Load from Gradebook” button from the Report Cards and IPR Entry pages in TAC when the
view is set to “Multiple” classes mode.
Previously, when two course-sections met at the same time, the teacher had to first switch to Single class mode in order
to load grades from the Gradebook.
Mass Update Marks
On the Report Card Entry and IPR Entry page, in TAC, teachers can now mass load a grade or a comment.
For example, in a Physical Ed class or elective class, the teacher may assign all students a mark of “S” – Satisfactory.
Then the teacher only needs to change the students who are exceptions.

Summary View of Competencies
Scores page
Now provide a Summary view to allow teachers to see a student’s Gradebook score for all competencies within a
competency group. Teachers can drill down to view assignments for an individual competency.
The gradebook toolbar now has 3 buttons when teachers are using competencies.
 The “C” displays the detail page for each competency.
 The Building Block Icon displays the Summary View of the competencies. The picture you see above. It should
at a glance how each student is doing on each competency
 The gradebook icon, returns to the gradebook page.
Rubric Entry Page: Enter Comments and Publish Options
For SBGB
Added ability to enter comments and publish options on the Simple and Full Rubric Entry screens to improve usability.
8
Assignment Detail Page
Scores, comments, and publish options can be viewed and maintained on a single screen for all students.
We “re-purposed” the icon with the red arrows and the “A” to take teachers to the new Assignment Detail page.
The new icon for Mass Update Scores is
.
New Assignment Detail page (page, not a pop-up):
SBGB Simple Rubric
A new “Simple Rubric” option allows the definition of a simple performance scale per competency.
When you add an assignment and want to attach a Competency to it, click the black and white “R&C” icon.
9
You get three choices:
 No rubric: here one or more competencies may be attached to the assignment. Each are scored equally.
 Full rubric: For this rubric, you must set up Performance Levels in addition to the criteria.
 Simple rubric: Simple rubrics automatically have a single Performance Level. By definition the rubric should
have multiple criteria.
Both Full Rubrics and Simple Rubrics allow you to designate whether the assignment points should be calculated as an
Average or a Sum.
After selecting the competencies to be included in the Simple Rubric:
 If you selected Average, enter the maximum points for each rubric (criterion) in the bottom left of the pop-up
window.
 If you selected Sum, enter the possible points for each rubric/criterion.
10
Points earned for each piece of the rubric are entered as usual on the teacher’s scores screen in the Rubric pop-up
window.
Gradebook Score Change History
This applies to both regular gradebook and SBGB.
Provided an indicator to view score change history on the Gradebook Entry page.
Auditing is stored in MR_GB_STU_SCORE_HIST.
Note: We will not be running any script to populate the history table.
You don’t get the indicator when the score is first entered; only when a change is made.
Therefore, for existing schools who are upgrading to 3.1, in order to view history for existing scores, teachers will need
to enter the assignment score twice – once to track the original entry, and again to flag a change.
11
To view the history for a flagged cell, gain “focus” on the cell you want by clicking on it.
Then, right click in the cell and select View History from the context menu.
Gradebook View Averages button
Improved the design of the Gradebook’s View Averages button.
Gradebook: Grouped Actions & Reports Options
On the Gradebook Entry page, the “Actions” drop-down has been organized into Actions and Reports.

Copy Assignments in Gradebook
In 3.0 SP1, we retained the legacy Copy Assignments page.
The Copy Assignments page has been redesigned and streamlined in 3.1. It used to have a grid that took up the entire
page and was confusing. We’re hoping clients find the redesigned page simpler and easier to use.
Two ways to get there:
 From the toolbar, click on Gradebook > Copy Assignments.
 From the Gradebook Setup page for a selected course, click the Copy icon.
Notes:

Flip “Assignments & Categories” to Selected to choose specific categories and assignments
Toggle the header for each category to expand or collapse displaying the assignments
Note the “Additional Options”
Click the Add Course button to add one or more destination course sections
Pick the destination marking period to the right of the “Copy To” course (if you did not select “All”)

semester long courses

Attendance Bulletin – Limit to Students Teacher Teaches
Added option for district to limit the Attendance Bulletin to list only students that the teacher teaches.
Menu: Administration > System Setup > District > Student Access
There is a configuration option to Hide All Students. This is to enable tighter security, requested by the clients, to
restrict teachers to only see students who belong to them.
Note: Be careful – there is already a Student Access option in the TAC Building config.
16
Test Scores in TAC
Restored the ability to enter test score information for a single student in Teacher Access Center.
Can edit tests in the Student Drawer now.
Can also add new ones.
We had temporarily lost this with 3.0 SP1.

Classroom Issues and Conduct Referrals
Enhanced Classroom Issues and Conduct Referrals list pages to include additional incident detail for escalated referrals.
Menu: Interventions > Classroom Issues > Click the Issues List icon on the toolbar
OR Interventions > Conduct Referrals > Conduct Referrals List icon
On the Conduct Referrals List and the Classroom Issues List pages, a new Administrative Action column shows the Code
and Description.
