Social Programmes Coordinator
Employer:
PAUL Partnership Limerick CLG is an organisation made up of communities, state agencies, social
partners, voluntary groups and elected representatives. It works with communities that have
benefited least from economic and social development and aims to promote social inclusion and
improve the quality of life of people living in communities in Limerick City.

Overall Purpose of Job:
To manage the development and implementation of PAUL Partnership’s Social Programmes in
Limerick City under the Social Inclusion Community Activation Programme and related social
programmes.

Regeneration Consultative Forum Development Worker
Civic Engagement Development Worker
Refugee Re-settlement Worker
Childcare Supervisors
and others as required
Specific Responsibilities:
1. Develop and facilitate strategic collaborative frameworks and networks as part of a dialogue
for developing solutions to social exclusion.
2. Work with partner organisations – community, statutory, democratic and social to design,
develop and implement programmes to address social inclusion.
3. Ensure programmes managed are delivered on time, within budget and in line with the
programme objectives.
4. Manage the implementation of the non-caseload elements of the Social Inclusion Community
Activation Programme (SICAP).
5. Support the development and engagement of Local Community Groups addressing Social
Inclusion, including their participation in Local Decision-Making Structures.
6. Work with other Senior Management Team Members to develop policies and practices to
guide programme implementation.
7. Develop, manage and monitor leveraged funding for PAUL and Partners which can contribute
to the development of PAUL’s Social Inclusion strategy.
8. Manage and develop staff reporting according to organisational policies and procedures.
9. Work with the Co-ordinator, Research, Monitoring & Communications to ensure effective
Performance Management of all programmes.
10. Represent the Partnership in a range of structures, both internal and external, relevant to the
implementation of social programmes.

11. Contribute to the overall development of the organisation through participation in the Senior
Management Team and other cross-partnership structures.
12. Any other tasks which may be assigned from time to time by the CEO.
Person Specification:
Essential Desirable
Knowledge
 Understanding of social inclusion issues
 Knowledge of local development structures
 A relevant 3rd level qualification
 Knowledge of Equality Issues and Legislation
 Knowledge of funding sources available to community groups
 Knowledge of Child Protection Legislation
Experience
 Minimum 5 years management experience in a multi-disciplinary
organisation
 Experience of working on multi-agency collaboration
 Experience of Local Development Sector in Ireland
 Experience of writing funding applications
 Experience of managing large scale budgets
 Experience of implementing quality standards (ETP/Q Mark, etc.)
