The Corporate Challenge is a great way for you and your colleagues to get involved with the Statesman Cap 10K. There are many benefits to participating in the Statesman Cap 10K Corporate Challenge. The Corporate Challenge builds camaraderie in your work place and gets you involved in the community and excited about fitness. Participation in the Corporate Challenge shows that you truly value fitness. We encourage wearing your own creative t-shirts, costumes, and company spirit flare as these are new categories we’ve added to the Corporate Challenge. We will still be competing for the Corporate Challenge cup for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place but there will be other awards, too! The Statesman Cap 10K race will end at the Finish Line Festival with entertainment, activities, awards and contests – including awards for largest team, greatest team spirit contest, and fastest times! Once you have crossed the finish line, please make your way to the main stage so your team can be judged for largest team and greatest spirit awards. You must be present to win. Corporate Challenge Teams must have a minimum of 10 participants with no maximum. Please note that in order for your team to be eligible for prizes, you MUST have at least 10 people from your company registered on your team to compete for fastest time and other awards. Team stuff will be available at the Statesman Cap 10K Health & Fitness Expo, located in the Palmer Events Center (Exhibit Hall 2). If you do not have a complete team of 10 by Friday, February 28, 2014 your registration and others on your team will be moved to individual registrations. Registration Confirmation If you would like to verify your registration, please log in to ACTIVE using your ACTIVE login. The cumulative finish times of the fastest 5 team members will be added up to create a team time. Team time determines winning team. Teams consist of a minimum of 10 members and there is no maximum number of team members. Members can be all or mixed gender teams. STEP 2: To begin the registration process click on the “Register Team Now” button below to advance you our online registration site Active.com. STEP 3: On the first page of registration on ACTIVE, under “Corporate Challenge Team Registration (Sunday)” select “Corporate Challenge Team Entry (Captains & Group Members) – $45” STEP 4: Simply select Statesman Cap 10K and register as normal until you get to the portion of registration section labeled Team Information: Under “Team Information” select “Create a Team” and a box for your unique Team Name will show up. Complete the form with your Team Name and take note it for future reference in recruiting more members. Team Captains have the option to make your team Private or Public. If your team is Public, anyone can see your team name on the drop down menu of registration. If your team is Private you can password protect your team and control the members that join by inviting members to it using the password. STEP 4: Once the Team Captain registration is complete, an automatic confirmation email from Active will sent to the Captain. The confirmation email will include a link to sign in and manage your team as well as invite new team members. Register Team Now Adding Members to a Team STEP 1: Obtain your unique team name from your Team Captain (first person to register). STEP 2: Go to cap10k.com then click “Register Now.” Then select “Corporate Challenge Team Entry (Captains & Group Members) – $45” STEP 3: Under the “Team Information” section of registration, select “Join A Team”. STEP 4: Search for your team name entered by your Team Captain in the section of registration entitled “Select your team from the list below.” IMPORTANT NOTE: Please select your team name as it was entered by your Team Captain. STEP 5: Complete and pay for registration. STEP 6: Report completed registrations to your Team Captain so they may keep track of registered members. cap10k.com TEAM STUFF PICK-UP Corporate Teams – 49 Members & Fewer Team registration, including changes, must be completed by Friday, February 28th to insure team’s materials will be complete for pick-up. Each team member is responsible picking up their own race materials at Expo. Team Captains may collect team member packets at Expo but RACE WILL NOT PRE-GROUP CORPORATE TEAM MATERIALS FOR TEAMS OF 49 & FEWER. There is NO RACE DAY Stuff Pick-up for teams or otherwise. Corporate Teams – 50 Members & Over Team registration, including changes, must be completed by Friday, February 28th to insure team’s materials will be complete for pick-up. Race will conveniently group team’s race materials for EARLY stuff pick-up. EARLY stuff pick up is ONLY available to Teams of 50 members or more. Corporate Challenge Teams with 50 or more members qualify to receive a recognition “back bib” that goes on the back of the body to designate and recognize the team.
