Would that violate the Honor Code? Situation Two

What is Honor??
Situation One
You took an Algebra test first period and
your friend asks you at lunch, “What is on
the test?” You tell him specific details about
the questions.
-Does that violate the Honor Code?
-What if you responded, “what the teacher
told us in the review yesterday”
Would that violate the Honor Code?
Situation Two
Your teacher assigned a project due next week with
the instruction that each student is supposed to
create his/her own project. You work with a friend in
a different class (who has another teacher) and make
the same project. Each of you turn one version of the
project in as your own.
-Does that violate the Honor Code?
-What if you and your friend talked about the project
and the ideas you were thinking of using and then
created separate projects?
-Would that violate the honor code?
Situation Three
Your best friend in high school begins to date
someone who is a bad influence. Her/His
grades begin to fall and she/he starts to use
drugs.
-Do you confront her about it?
-Do you tell her parents?
- Do you tell any one at school out of concern
of her well-being?
Situation Four
Your family doctor cheated regularly in medical
school when the pressures for high grades kicked
in. If his cheating became known to you and your
family, would you keep his as your doctor?
-Would it matter if prior to knowing about the
cheating your family had a positive impression of
him as a doctor?
- If you did keep him as your doctor would you have
doubts about his medical opinions if a serious illness
struck someone in your family?
I will tell the truth
I will do my own work,
without illicit assistance
I will work to encourage
honesty
What does this mean to you??
