2017 SUMMER INTERNATIONAL CHESS GAMES
USCF CAN – AM OPEN Chess Tournaments, the Archangel 8 Chess Academy has been
providing and serving Chess events to the Buffalo and Erie County community since
1999.
Come and join us for friendly international games with our friends from Canada over the
summer months. PIZZA and Refreshments provided. Celebrating the Bicentennial of the
Erie Canal, the Flight of Five and US Naval Fleet Week.
WHEN – July 15, Aug 19 and September 15, 2017
WHERE – Main Place Mall, 390 Main Street, Upper level, Buffalo NY
Free Parking under Mall, please do not leave any valuables visible in the vehicle.
WHAT – Four Games, USCF dual rated, Game 50 (G/45 with 5 second delay)
SECTIONS and Game Schedule – Open Section and Scholastic Section. Players must
be current USCF members, arrive, be registered and paid by 9am. Late arrivals must take
a one half point Bye.
Players should be prepared with an algebraic chess board, Staunton style chess set, digital
chess clock and write chess notations.
Games will start at 9:15am, 11:30am, 1:15pm and 3pm.
Advance registrations to [email protected] by midnight the day before the event,
must include full name, USCF id number, and contact information.
Advance Entry Fee - $15 or $20 Cash at the door.
AWARDS – Plaques or Scholastic Trophies awarded to the Top winners, Overall
Champion, Top Under 1800 and Top U1400. Scholastics – Champion, Top Under 1000
and Top Under 600.
