Men's League
This League is Accepting New
Bowlers and Teams
League bowls 3 games, 2 Frames at a time. 90% Handicap.
League starts at 6:30 and usually finishes by 8:30pm.
Runs 30 Weeks
Week 31 - Roll-off Night. Bowling is Free. All dues/bowling
money collected will be used Roll-off prizes. Roll-off will
consist of 3 Games of bowling.
Each team will consist of 4 Men. The season will run 31 weeks (30 regular weeks, plus an
individual roll-off week). All money collected will go to prize money.
If less than 4 men are assigned to a team, a dummy score of 90 will be used for any vacant
position. Any bowler who is absent will receive a score of their average minus 5 pins per string.
Each team will be allowed to substitute a regular bowler who is absent. A sub can be added by
the Team Captains by notifying the counter. (Note: substitute bowlers do not pay dues, just for
the bowling.)
A handicap of 90% is used based on a 120-individual average. For example if a bowler’s total
average comes to 100 that bowler will receive a handicap of 18 pins per string. (Ex: 120 - 100 =
20 X 90%= 18 pins per game.)
An 8 Point scoring system will be used. Two points per string and two points for totals.
All matches will start by 6:35.
Averages from the previous season will be held for the first week of bowling. For bowlers who
do not have an established average, those averages will be calculated at the end of the match
and the handicap will be adjusted when the calculations are completed at the counter.
All dues and bowling fees are to be paid the night of the match. Anyone who cannot pay please
notify the Counter before bowling. A bowler who owes two weeks of dues and fees will not be
allowed to bowl the third week until all dues and fees are paid in full.
Any questionable incidents such as a ball that may have gone into the gutter before hitting a
standing pin shall be called by the bowler and only the bowler, The rules and regulations of the
Massachusetts Bowling Association will govern the league. All other incidents shall be brought
to the team captain or league president for final judgment.
All league meetings must be attended by a captain/representative of the team. Each team
captain is responsible for bringing bowling pay envelopes to the counter before the end of the
1st string.
Bowlers may receive only one prize for individual highs. To be eligible, you must bowl 75% of
the scheduled season.
Cost is $20 per night for each bowler. $12 for bowling and $8 for dues to be used for the
banquet and prizes. Absent bowlers pay dues only. If any bowler doesn’t pay the dues each
week, it will be deducted from the team prize money
All league information such as league standings and lane assignments will be posted every
week on our website @ www.leossuperbowl.com and at the bowling lanes.
In the event of a cancellation, team captains will be notified to call their bowlers. In case of
