GARBAGE SERVICE

Dave Layton of Glenwood visited Hill Spring Village Council at their November Council meeting. He is proposing to
start up a ‘garbage pick-up’ service to all residents—for a
fee—in the New Year if there is interest. Stay tuned for more

HILL SPRING SCHOOL CONCERT
The Hill Spring School Christmas Concert and play will be
held Thursday, December 18 @ 7:00 p.m. They will be doing the Nutcracker. Santa will also be dropping by for a visit
and for pictures. Everyone is invited to attend.

SANTA VISITS
The Hill Spring Recreation Board will be arranging
Santa visits on Christmas Eve by request only. So if
you are wanting Santa to visit please call Derrick Beck so
that he can book you in. This service is available for both in
town and out of town. Call 403-308-5231
Santa will also be attending the Hill Spring School Concert
on Thursday, December 18th and will be available for visiting and pictures with Santa.
SPRING GLEN PARK
Spring Glen Park is hosting a Valentine dinner dance in
February. Tickets are available for purchase now. They are
just in time for the Christmas gift you are wondering about.
This fundraising activity will help to provide a new playground at Spring Glen Park. For more details please call

CHRISTMAS CARAMELS
Ingredients: 2 cups white sugar 1 cup bu er 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 1/2 cup corn syrup 2 cups heavy cream Bu er a 9x13 pan. In a heavy sauce pan, combine sugar, corn syrup and 1 cup cream and bu er. Bring to a boil, s rring o en and then s r in remaining cream. Heat without s rring to 242 F or un l a small ball dropped in very cold water forms a firm but pliable ball. Remove from heat; s r in vanilla, and pour into prepared dish. Refrigerate. Cut into 1” square when cool. Tasty! Enjoy! SKATING RINK
Volunteers are waiting for COLD weather to get the skating
rink flooded and ready for skating. Bring on the cold. It
takes a lot of work and we appreciate the time and efforts put
in to it. If you would like to help out with the flooding and
clearing of the ice please contact the office or Monte Christensen. Watch for the ice!!
