EXCHANGE SEMESTERS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS 1) First semester programme (September – January) MANAGING LUXURY, TOURISM AND INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS Description The goal of the courses during the first semester is to offer a deepened knowledge on internationalization strategies for global and luxury companies. This includes a strategic and tactical plan for entering new foreign markets. The courses provide the main conceptual frame for understanding the importance of the luxury industry and of tourism and culture sectors to the development of a country. The aim is also to gain a deep understanding of corporations and the way different businesses interact, even in considerations of the role played by International Organizations and NGOs. Requirements None. The courses only require a good knowledge of English language (B2). This course is part of the International Relations curriculum within the Master’s degree in International Economics and Management. Course included in the Master’s degree in International Economics and Management. Please note: a) Exchange students can freely choose the number of courses to attend within the semester; b) (Erasmus) Bachelor’s students can also attend the courses which are part of Master’s degree in International Economics and Management. 2) Second semester programme (February – May) CREATIVITY, SMEs AND INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS Description In a globalizing world more companies are doing business in international markets. The programme familiarizes you with business between two or more nations with a special focus on SMEs and on the Made in Italy system. In the long-run, companies must develop differentiated products or service to succeed in an international competition. The result is a global race for creative solutions and innovations among companies. The aim is to gain knowledge and experience of topics in international business such as political, economic and cultural systems, integrating a deep understanding of the role exerted by International organizations. Requirements None. The courses only require a good knowledge of English language (B2).
